History and Development
National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU) is the premier normal university in Taiwan and has now been providing distinguished academic services. In September 2007, as part of our effort to reach world class teaching quality, NTNU established the Center for Teaching and Learning Development (CTLD).
Goals
The NTNU Seal is composed of six ancient bells, symbolizing the passing of the six ‘yi’s (meaning six arts, the basis of ancient Confucian education) to and the holistic cultivation of future generations. In light of the current educational trends, Center for Teaching and Learning Development has transformed the six ‘yi’s into its homonymous English counterpart six ‘e’s, serving as calls to action for our faculty and teaching assistants to engage in professional growth, enhance pedagogical knowledge and ability, energize their instructional capacity, ensure instructional quality, extend the depth and breadth of their teaching, so as to excel as educators of the future.
